What we believe

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that He died to save us from our sins, and lead us back to fellowship with God. Following His resurrection, He went to live with God the Father in Heaven.

We believe in the Holy Spirit whom he sent to us to act as our teacher and guide.

We also believe in the reliability and authority of the Bible, which is the inspired Word of God, upon which all of the teaching in this church is firmly based.

In remembrance of what Christ has done for us, we celebrate Communion, and in obedience to what the Bible teaches, we practice believers’ baptism.

We also hold services of thanksgiving and dedication to praise God for the gift of children. Individually, we know that we are not perfect, and we have a tendency to go our own way instead of following God’s plan, so we need God’s forgiveness to help change.

We know that Jesus Christ makes this possible, and together we are learning to work this out in the circumstances and pressures of everyday life.

None of us would claim to have all the answers to life, but we know that Jesus Christ does. What He offers to us all is forgiveness, love, understanding, compassion, guidance and the promise of His everlasting presence with us.
