Under Fives – Our Toddler Group

“Under Fives” is a weekly group for children up to the age of 5 and their parents and carers! We meet from 9.30am until 11.30am every Friday during term time. Each week, there will be a wide variety of toys and activities available, including ride-on toys, roleplay activities, creative play areas and much more! We also provide refreshments, and there will be a time for singing (nursery rhymes and Christian children’s songs) and a Bible story. The sessions are free, and everyone is welcome to just turn up and join in! Adults will need to stay with their children, but you can come and relax while your little ones have a good time! Please use the entrance round to the right hand side of the building. We do have a limit on numbers, so it’s best to try and turn up before 10.00am.

Good News Club

This is a club for children aged 5 to 11 years on Friday evenings from 5.30 p.m. to 7 p.m. There are craft activities, team games and sports, refreshments and a talk from the Bible. Once a month there’s a tuck shop! Children will need to fill in a registration form with contact details, medical details, etc … the forms are available at the club. All our staff are police checked. Why not come along and try it out?

Y.O.Y.O. Group (You’re Only Young Once)

For all young people in school years 7 to 11 (ages 11-16), every Friday during term time, from 7.30pm until 9pm. The meetings begin with a choice of activities, including table tennis, snooker, games and more! Then there is a Bible teaching session, which is both interactive and relevant to young people in the 21st century. Following this will be a range of activities, with a different emphasis each week. Included will be a music evening, cooking, model making, computer evening and other activities agreed with the young people.

There is a tuck shop and refreshments available during the evening.

We also run various evenings out – bowling, ice skating, swimming etc. and others as agreed with the young people – and a day trip in the summer, as well as sleepovers at different points in the year! There’s plenty of fun to be had! Come along and join us, any Friday during term time, from 7.30pm.

Sunday School

Children join us to worship God during the first part of the service on Sunday mornings (the service begins at 11.00am). Then, in the hymn before the sermon, the children leave the rest of the congregation. After a short time together, the children split into two groups : 3-7s and 7-11s. Here they receive age-appropriate, interactive teaching from the Bible, and take part in activities including puzzle sheets and crafts. Parents collect their children after the service, although there is still plenty for the children to do while parents get a coffee and talk!

Creche

For children up to the age of 3, we provide a creche during Sunday morning services so that parents can remain in the service to hear God’s word. The creche can operate during any part of the service or the whole service, as required. Please ask a steward on the way into church on a Sunday morning.

All our volunteers are DBS (police) checked. We will ask you for contact details, etc, for your child’s safety when you arrive at any of our midweek groups. For our privacy notice on how we use your data, click here.
